Kamadhenu is a divine bovine goddess described in Hinduism as Gou Mata, the mother of all cows. Known as the miraculous "cow of plenty," she is believed to grant her owner whatever they desire and is often portrayed as the mother of all cattle. In iconography, Kamadhenu is typically depicted as a white cow with a female head and breasts, bird-like wings, and a peafowl’s tail, or as a white cow containing various deities within her body. All cows are venerated in Hinduism as earthly embodiments of Kamadhenu. As such, Kamadhenu is not worshipped independently as a goddess, and temples are not dedicated solely to her; instead, she is honored through the general veneration of cows among Hindus.
